Charlotte Kirkpatrick
We have been informed that Charlotte Kirkpatrick who left the school in 1970 sadly died last October from breast cancer. The news did not reach old school friends until recently. Susan Pennick is organising a memorial reunion in the form of a 'Picnic in the Park' (weather permitting) on July 26th. Charlotte was well known as one of Tring Park's success stories, and other girls from other years will also be saddened to hear the news of her death. If you would like to attend this special reunion please email us at info@ttps.org we will pass Susan's email and phone number to you. The Dance Show will be performed in the Markova Theatre by senior students on Thursday 19th, Friday 20th,Tuesday 24th, Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th March at 7.30pm. Tickets for these performances will be £8.00 and £5.00 concessionary rate for children and senior citizens. If you would like tickets please fill in the form below and return to Miss Westbrooke in the School office as soon as possible. All cheques should be made payable to Tring Park School and it is regretted that telephone bookings cannot be taken. Please advise the school if wheelchair access will be required to the Theatre.
The Dance Gala (see enclosed flyer) this year is being held at the Shaw Theatre on Saturday 21st March at 7.30pm and tickets can be purchased directly from the Theatre at a cost of £15 and £12. Buy on line at www.theshawtheatre.com or telephone the box office on 0871 5943123.
Both the Dance Show and the Gala will include classical ballet, jazz dance and contemporary dance with live music. This will be a unique opportunity to see the talented young dancers of one of this country’s premier dance schools, demonstrate the versatility of their professional training.

A very Happy New Year to all our members! We have a very busy term ahead with both the Musical Theatre Show and the Dance Show, together with Gala performances for both of these at the Shaw Theatre in London.
MUSICAL THEATRE SHOW – “CRAZY FOR YOU”
“Crazy For You” is the quintessential all singing all dancing American Broadway Musical. It is the adaptation of the 1930 hit film “Girl Crazy”, with music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin. Show stopping numbers and timeless ballads, lead us through a plot which includes high energy comedy, mistaken identity and romance. The Show will be performed on Sunday 1st February at 4pm and Monday 2nd February-Wednesday 4th February at 7.30pm. The evening of Monday 2nd is a charity performance in aid of the local Ian Rennie Trust so please expect limited availability. Tickets cost £8.00 and £5.00 concessionary rate for students and Senior citizens. To obtain tickets please complete the enclosed form and send with your cheque made payable to The Arts Educational School to Miss Westbrooke in the school office. Bookings cannot be take over the phone and please advise the school if wheelchair access to the theatre is required.
SHAW THEATRE, LONDON
For the first time this year the Musical Theatre Course will also be performing at the Shaw Theatre in London on Tuesday 10th February and Wednesday 11th February at 7.30pm. OPEN DAY Sunday 10th May
You received information in September regarding the Open Day on 10th May. I hope that you have put the date in your diary as we are hoping that as many people as possible will come along to enjoy another special get together at the school. This year is the 90th anniversary of the School’s inception and will also mark the start of very exciting times ahead for the School. The tickets will cost £10 and as a fully paid up member you will receive an invitation 2 weeks in advance of non members thus giving you first refusal. People have already been making enquiries so once you receive your invitation, do not delay!!!
Details of the Dance Show, March 19, 21, 24, 25, 26 will be sent to all fully paid up members during February.
